A firefighter with Durango Fire Protection District moves into the 200 block of East Eighth Avenue on Thursday morning to direct arriving equipment after reports of a structure fire in Macho’s restaurant. The fire forced the evacuation of all businesses in the strip plaza and closed East Eighth Avenue from Fifth Street to Santa Rita Drive.
